  Disney´s great movie. "the light in the forest" is a very interesting and beautiful movie. James Macarthur is wonderful. Great interpretation of a white boy who has lived with the Indians and returns with his white parents. My Disney´s favorite movie

Matt has just returned from the Civil War and stampedes and pressures of the cattle drive on a difficult route cause tension for Matt, and he is driven to the point of confrontation with his father. One of the best Westerns of the 1940s.

The shrimp fishermen in the area fear that the drilling noise is scaring away the shrimp–and, thus, is a threat to their livelihoods. Matters heat up when Steve falls in love with Stella (Joanne Dru) who happens to be a fisherman's (Antonio Moreno) daughter, and Johnny falls for his other daughter Francesca (Marcia Henderson). Despite a hurricane brewing, Steve and Johnny strike it rich and are, finally, able to work out their problems with the fishermen.
