  Based on David Wagoner's novel, this story involves young magician Danny Masters (Griffin O'Neal) who is always getting in trouble. Danny steals the wallet of Stu Quinones (Raul Julia) who just happens to be the son of corrupt Mayor Leon Quinones (Desi Arnaz). Danny finds that the wallet is filled with graft money, and this time, he finds himself in over his head and suffers the consequences.

  This delightful take-off of the tried-and-true Western has it all. Now, the rest of the Danby gang–led by Pa Danby (Walter Brennan)–are determined to free Joe and rid the town of their new sheriff. And while all this is going on, McCullough is being pursued by the fair maiden Prudy Perkins (Joan Hackett) who is determined to marry the sheriff.
