Chorus girl Rusty Parker (Rita Hayworth) wins a beauty contest that leads to an offer for a Broadway production. Now she must choose between fame and the man she loves: nightclub owner Danny (Gene Kelly). Hayworth's and Kelly's dancing make this film a delight. Jerome Kern-Ira Gershwin songs include "Long Ago and Far Away." As usual, Eve Arden's quick wit is a highlight.

The Lone Ranger Rides Again 1939 N/R, 260 min. Genre: Western
Director: John English, William Witney Cast: Robert Livingston, Chief Thundercloud, Duncan Renaldo, Jinx Falkenburg, Ralph Dunn, J. Farrell MacDonald, William Gould, Rex Lease, Ted Mapes, John Beach, Glenn Strange, Stanley Blystone
The Lone Ranger (Robert Livingston) and companion Tonto (Chief Thundercloud) return for their second serial–with less mystery and more ridin' and shootin'. Homesteaders aren't welcome in cattleman's valley, so outlaws are hired to keep them out. Again, this good serial has many ambushes, etc. to keep the audience anxious for the next episode as the Lone Ranger and Tonto, with help from Juan (Duncan Renaldo), come to the aid of the settlers.
