This remake of Kiyoshi Kurosawa's "Pulse" involves a plague brought on by the computer hacking of Josh (Jonathan Tucker) who hangs himself in the presence of his girlfriend, Mattie (Kristen Bell). After he has killed himself, Josh's e-mails, containing a virus, begin arriving on Maggie's and her friends' computers. Maggie tracks down the new owner of Josh's old computer, Dexter (Ian Somerhalder), and they join forces to try to put an end to the madness.
