| | 52marksman 06/28/2009 | | Monte Walsh is to Lee Marvin what Tom Horn is to Steve Mcqueen This is a western. But only in the sense that it takes place in the west,on horseback during the era ( or rather the end of the era ) of the true cowboy. It is a poignant story of a man, who is nearer to the end of his life than the begining , and finds himself in an ever changing world into which he no longer fits. Circumstances involving his best friend, and his lover make for a surprisingly touching and introspective story. A story in which one cannot help but care about the characters. I highly recommend watching it. |
