Frieda's stepdaughter, Ella (voice of Sarah Michelle Gellar), is waylaid on the way to meet the prince (voice of Patrick Warburton), Rapunzel is yanked from her tower, and a prince falls asleep after kissing Sleeping Beauty. Now Ella searches for help and turns to the Seven Dwarfs and to Prince Charming's servant, Rick (voice of Freddie Prinze, Jr.), for help in bringing back those happy endings.

On their arrival in Redondo Beach, the Hoovers face the winning-crazed world of young girls made-up to look like beauty queens, and the family gains strength through their ultra-weird experience. The film received two Academy Awards, including Best Supporting Actor (Alan Arkin), and nominations were received for Best Picture and Supporting Actress (Abigail Breslin).

Along comes producer Terry (Bob Odenkirk) who convinces Ronnie to star in a reality show on which he gets arrested each week. The show is a hit, and Ronnie must deal with the fame that follows. Some fun skits spoofing TV shows with many cameo appearances.
