Among them are Don (Robert Carlyle) and Alice (Catherine McCormack) who are worried about their children–Andy (Mackintosh Muggleton) and Tamara (Imogen Poots) who were in Spain when the virus escaped from the testing lab. Now, U.S. troops set up a quarantine zone in London, and Don is finally reunited with Andy and Tamara. Don lies when he tells them that their mother is dead. But, kids being kids, they set off on their own adventure, leave the safe zone, and accidentally reignite the spread of the deadly virus.

It's 1881 and famous bank/train robber Jesse James (Brad Pitt), at age 34, has had a turnover of gang members from retirement or having been killed. Even brother Frank (Sam Shepard) retired after the gang's last heist. Jesse even has a "day" job as a respected businessman using the name of Thomas Howard and has a trophy wife, Zee (Mary-Louise Parker), and two children. But the restless Jesse is putting together a new gang made up of second-rate gangsters, which includes young Bob (Casey Affleck) who has collected Jesse James clippings and stories since he was a small boy and idolized Jesse. Another problem that Jesse has is that there is a large bounty on him, dead or alive. As time passes, Bob becomes jealous of Jesse and with the reward he could receive, he decides to kill Jesse, which he does. An interesting study of the two men that is based on Ron Hansen's historical novel of the same name. The film received two Academy Award nominations including Best Supporting Actor (Affleck).

The camera follows the demented Dahmer in his day-to-day activities, creating an emotional impact on the audience. Renner is excellent in the title role.

Their job is to make Baghdad a safe place by dismantling improvised explosive devises, and they must deal with the threat of death from bombs and snipers while on the job. Sanborn and Eldridge have problems with James' disrespect for the team's safety, and his risk-taking has a great effect on their abilities to carry out their perilous duties–a problem that will change their lives. The film received six Academy Awards including Best Picture and Director and was nominated for three others including Best Actor (Renner).

During the investigation, Fred becomes the prime suspect in what Holt has now determined to be a murder case in which the car victim's identity was forged. But, as he gets to know Isold, Holt's professionalism wavers.

But hazing, pornographic violence, and sexual threats appear to be the order of the day for the women who are outnumbered by the men in the mines. Josie endures abuse until she hires a lawyer (Sean Bean) to sue for sexual harassment, which marked the first successful case of its kind in the United States. Charlize Theron received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress, and Frances McDormand was nominated for Best Supporting Actress.

Rudy and twin brother Jacob (both played by Conor Donovan), Malee (Zoe Weizenbaum), and Leonard (Jesse Camacho) make up a tight group of friends. When Rudy is killed by local bullies who set fire to their tree house with Rudy in it, each of the group deals with the tragedy in their own way. Timid Jacob, who is self-conscious because of a large birthmark on his face, visits the jailed boys who set the fire to find out their motivation despite the grievances of his parents. Malee becomes infatuated with a construction worker who is one of her psychotherapist mother's clients, and obese Leonard starts working out and dieting while encouraging his overweight mother to do the same. A good coming-of-age film on coping with tragedy. Fine sound track.
