Sydney White 2007 PG-13, 90 min. Genre: Comedy
Director: Joe Nussbaum Cast: Amanda Bynes, Sara Paxton, Matt Long, Jack Carpenter, Jeremy Howard, Crystal Hunt, Adam Hendershott, Danny Strong, Samm Levine, Libby Mintz, John Schneider, Arnie Pantoja, Brian Patrick Clarke
In this take-off on "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs," Snow–oops–Sydney White was brought up by her plumber father (John Schneider) and his construction workers after her mother died. Thus, tomboy Sydney was more interested in tools and comic books than social graces when she headed off to the college that her mother had attended, and joined her mother's sorority. She immediately becomes popular at school, resulting in the nasty sorority president, Rachel Witchburn (Sara Paxton), going to great lengths to get Sydney out of the sorority because of Rachel's loss of "most popular" student–and the threat of losing her boyfriend, Tyler (Matt Long), to Sydney. But Sydney doesn't care for the sorority girls, so she moves out and finds a home with seven dorky outcasts (whose personalities are suspiciously similar to the seven Dwarfs). The team plots to take on the evil Rachel and her elitist cohorts and make the school better for all.
