Lt. Steve Maryk (Jeff Daniels) led the mutiny because a deadly storm was brewing, and Maryk felt that Capt. Queeg was losing his sanity. The act leads to a court martial. Defense attorney Lt. Barney Greenwald (Eric Bogosian) calls Queeg to testify for the defense–knowing that the only way to win the case is to prove that Capt. Queeg really was incompetent. A compelling story.

Against the recommendations of most of his Generals, Washington decided to make a sneak attack on Trenton on Christmas day. To do this, he and his troops had to cross the Delaware River while the river was freezing during a cold storm. The ensuing battle became a turning point of the war. Made for cable TV.

Confederate Generals Lee (Martin Sheen) and Longstreet (Tom Berenger) make preparations for battle while Union Col. Chamberlain (Jeff Daniels) moves his troops into position. Meanwhile, Union General Buford (Sam Elliott) attacks Confederate troops trying to get into position. The story uses both Union and Confederate perspectives to provide a good interpretation of the famous Battle of Gettysburg that claimed 53,000 lives. Both the acting and battle scenes are excellent.

Very well acted, but with this cast what else could one expect? Nicole Kidman won the Best Actress Oscar for her excellent performance. In addition, the film received eight nominations, including Best Picture, Director, Actress in a Supporting Role (Julianne Moore), and Actor in a Supporting Role (Ed Harris).

Advertising executive Bob Munro (Robin Williams) is scheduled for a meeting in Colorado at the same time he has scheduled a family vacation in Hawaii with his wife Jamie (Cheryl Hines) and kids–teenager Cassie (JoJo) and pre-teen Carl (Josh Hutcherson). Bob finds a solution: a cross-country trip in an oversized RV. The family embarks on the camping trip, but problems arise; in fact, they erupt in the form of the septic tank's contents. That's when they meet the Gornecke family (Jeff Daniels, Kristin Chenoweth, Hunter Parrish, Chloe Sonnenfeld, and Alex Ferris). As homeless campers, the Gornickes home-school their kids at the campground. The snooty Munros try to avoid the Gornickes, but they keep crossing paths, and, by story's end, the Gornickes have taught the Munros a valuable lesson in family relationships.
