  Chicago cabbie Mitch (Rob Lowe) has been diagnosed with cancer, and to ensure his loving, pregnant wife has money, he accepts a previously turned-down offer from author Alan Webber (Joe Mantegna) to murder a drug dealer. Things get sticky when the cancer disappears and the drug dealer turns up alive; Mitch is now dragged into a deadly affair.
