Brown) and sister-in-law (Elaine Bromka) are out of town, Uncle Buck (John Candy) steps in and takes care of their children: six-year-old Maizy (Gaby Hoffman), eight-year-old Miles (Macaulay Culkin), and teenager Tia (Jean Louisa Kelly). Although there are problems at first, the inept Uncle Buck manages to overcome his own faults and wins the respect of the children.
