A magician, Celine (Juliet Berto), and a librarian, Julie (Dominique Labourier), are transported to a mansion (is it real or imaginary?) where a strange melodrama keeps repeating itself. It is beginning to look like Sophie and Camille will stop at nothing to gain Olivier's love, and Celine is trying to shield Madlyn from the tension.
