Eighteen-year-old Audrey (Agnes Bruckner) has put off college to take care of her father (John Corbett) in their remote New Mexico community. When a new family moves into the neighborhood, Audrey is attracted to the son, Mookie (Justin Long). But her best friend, Calista (Kelli Garner), also has her eyes on the attractive Mookie. This leaves Audrey, who has always taken care of those around her, fighting beauty-queen friend Calista for Mookie's affections.
