This film–loosely based on the story of the Judas Priest band's lead singer Tim "Ripper" Owens–revolves around Chris "Izzy" Coles (Mark Wahlberg) who is booted out of his own band only to gain fame as the lead singer for the Steel Dragon band. Now, with the new fame, Chris enjoys his fantasy world of drugs, sex, and alcohol until disillusionment finally sets in.
