People traveling to a British trading post in India are disappearing, and cargo is stolen. The company hires a stranger to solve the problem, which leads Captain Harry Lewis (Guy Rolfe), who is familiar with the company, to work independently to solve the mystery. Lewis finds that a religious cult, the Stranglers, that performs crazed rituals, is responsible for capturing travelers and stealing their money as the cult wreaks havoc on the area around Bombay.
