  Eric Gregg (Ronald Reagan) is a claims adjuster for Central Casualty Insurance Company where he works as an insurance adjuster. Eric's own wife, Nona (Sheila Bromley), is deeply in debt to an insurance fraud ring. When this becomes known, Eric loses both Nora and his job. Now, Eric joins forces with cigar-store clerk Patricia Carmody (Gloria Blondell) and brings down the insurance fraud culprits.
