  This film marks Joseph L. Mankiewicz's directorial debut and is based on Anya Seton's best-selling novel. The Gothic suspense story features Gene Tierney as Miranda, a governess who marries her rich cousin, Nicholas Van Ryn (Vincent Price). After the wedding, young Dr. Jeff Turner (Glenn Langan) becomes suspicious that Nicholas murdered his first wife in order to marry Miranda. And the mystery deepens.

  The Frake family–father Abe (Charles Winninger), mother Melinda (Fay Bainter), and young adult children Wayne (Dick Haymes), and Margy (Jeanne Crain)–heads for the Iowa State Fair in this Rodgers and Hammerstein musical. Adventures and romances abound as they spend their week at the fair. Songs include "It's a Grand Night for Singing," "State Fair," and the Academy Award winning song, "It Might as Well Be Spring." A good remake of the 1933 hit.
