  A plastic surgeon (Anton Diffring) flees England after having terrible results with a socialite patient. He lands in France, changes his name, and obtains a traveling circus. He then seeks out disfigured women and makes them beautiful–if they will take various jobs in the circus and satisfy his perverse sexual needs. But, VERY bad things happen if one decides to leave the circus.

He stuffs the body in his car trunk and shortly after is called on to help a child who had been hurt in a car accident. If he doesn't come to the child's aid, the child may die. But, if he does help, the body may be found. Will he remain faithful to the Hippocratic Oath, or will he choose to flee and prevent the body from being discovered?
