This sequel is not directly related to the others but is more of a restart. Grace (Naomi Watts) returns to Nebraska to help her mother (Karen Black) who has been experiencing nightmares. Then, the town's children become "weird," and the gore begins as adults die in horrific ways.

Linda Hamilton plays the town's mayor, Rachel Wando, and also, of course, becomes the romantic interest of Harry. Great special effects!
