The astronauts learn that the apes can walk upright and talk and are far more sophisticated that the humans. Now, two apes–scientist Cornelius (Roddy McDowell) and Dr. Zira (Kim Hunter)–help Taylor escape and, in the process, Taylor uncovers the secret of the planet.

Billee tells her father that she was raped, and they follow Cole to bring him to justice. They catch up with Cole, but then Foggers arrives and takes the gold. Later, a shootout ensues, and Billee finds where the gold is hidden. But, Cole also arrives, takes the gold and Billee's clothing, and rides off to Mexico.
