Rumors fly that Carley has murdered her husband Miles (Maxwell Reed), and then Miles shows up alive–only to be killed by Carley in a fight over stolen jewels. Carley escapes, but a helicopter rescue and a chase to obtain the jewels lie in wait.

  This is another remake of the 1924 Rudolf Friml operetta and is the first musical to use the CinemaScope format, which it does to good advantage. Rose Marie (Ann Blyth) is a lovely French-Canadian lass who is after trapper James Duval (Fernando Lamas). James, in turn, is being pursued by mountie Mike Malone (Howard Keel).
