This remake of 1965's "Mirage" features Bradford Dillman as Jonathan Fields, a scientist who is drugged and then faced with the possibility that he may be a murderer after he awakens in an apartment where a dead woman's body lies in the bathtub. Fields hires private detective Arthur Belding (Harry Guardino) to investigate and learns that Field's supervisor Dr. Arkroyd (Victor Jory) had been involved with the dead woman. Now, pieces of the puzzle fit together, and they figure out that Field's co-worker Lew Haley (Pat Hingle) is the guilty culprit. Dillman and Haley have a confrontation, and Haley crashes through the hi-rise office window and plummets to the pavement below.
