Blind Date 1984 R, 99 min. Genre: Horror / Thriller aka: Deadly Seduction
Director: Nico Mastorakis Cast: Joseph Bottoms, Kirstie Alley, James Daughton, Lana Clarkson, Keir Dullea, Charles Nicklin, Marina Sirtis, Michael Howe, Gerard Kelly, Gerry Sundquist, Valeria Golino
Filmed in Athens, Greece, this low-budget slasher film is centered on Jonathon (Joseph Bottoms) who has become blind, though the doctors can find no physical reason. He is fitted with an electronic camera-like device that provides some sight–just in time to witness a murder. Wanting to prove he can do it (apparently), he sets out to track down the crazed killer who specializes in carving up scantily dressed women. Yuck. Watch for the soon-to-be the empath counselor on "Star Trek: The Next Generation"–Marina Sirtis.

This movie set a trend for several films to come. Faber College's Dean Wormer (John Vernon) plots with Greg Marmalard (James Daughton) of Omega fraternity to rid the campus of the disreputable Delta House fraternity. The fraternity boys–seniors Otter (Tim Matheson), D-Day (Bruce McGill), Boon (Peter Riegert), and "Bluto" Blutarsky (John Belushi)–at the Delta House provide plenty of laughs as they party, chase coeds, and battle school authorities.
