Babe proves them wrong and learns that simply talking nicely gets desired results from the other animals in this fairy tale environment. The film won an Oscar for Best Visual Effects and was nominated for several others including Best Picture, Director, and Supporting Actor (James Cromwell).

Ruth is sold to the Yankees and brings his wife Helen (Trini Alvarado) to the city, but their marriage breaks up soon after. Ruth's second wife is Ziegfeld showgirl Claire Hodgeson (Kelly McGillis), and life becomes fun–for awhile. This script also objectively relates the ups and downs of Ruth's career. The on-field play is enhanced by use of good old Danville (Illinois) Stadium.

In this atmosphere, crimes are investigated, but it is not always the guilty who pay. This film, based on James Ellroy's novel, is one of the year's best. Two Oscars were received, including Best Supporting Actress (Kim Basinger for her role as call-girl Lynn Bracken); seven other nominations were received, including Best Picture and Director.

Add to this Peter's former best friend, Harry Osborn (James Franco), who has been training for revenge against Spider-Man because he blames Spider-Man for his father's death. And, as if this was not enough, freelance photographer Eddie Brock (Topher Grace) is plotting to take Peter's job at the Daily Bugle. But, Eddie/the New Goblin is transformed into Venom after coming in contact with an alien goo that also permeates the Spider-Man costume and brings out the dark side of Peter. And finally, Peter's romance with Mary Jane Watson (Kirsten Dunst) continues down its tumultuous road. It is the 24th century, and the Enterprise is on a mission in space when Captain Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) and his crew become involved in a battle between a Borg Cube and Federation ships. The Enterprise chases the Borgs but end up in a time distortion and are now in the 21st century. The only hope is for warp drive inventor Zefram Cochran (James Cromwell) to make a faster-than-light trip to the stars.

Clues lead to The Prophet (Ving Rhames) who leads a group of people who have chosen to live their lives together–unlike those in the rest of the world who communicate only through surrogates.

It only gets going when Jenilee removes her jacket towards the end and is wearing nothing but a thin tank (no pun intended) top! GOOD GAWD!! Thank goodness for Slow Mo!! |

Director Oliver Stone presents his version of Bush's presidency as Dubya having psychological problems following his father George H.W. Bush's (James Cromwell) loss to Bill Clinton, and now, as President, Dubya seeking to regain the family honor.
