The three elderly men die in a plane wreck and return as spirits to help get the couple back together.

Bob consoles Fred's love Alida (Sari Maritza), and his actions lead to their marriage. Meanwhile, Fred's mother (Bodil Rosing) delivers an anti-war eulogy.

Making matters worse is the fact that Del shares an unrequited love with Owen's wife Caroline (Ellen Drew) that causes jealousy. Tensions mount and lead to a violent conclusion.

Vance investigates the murder of a NY millionaire as greedy relatives seek a portion of the inheritance. After a few suspects are murdered, Vance comes up with the killer. Richards certainly was not the best Philo Vance.

A good film that was remade in 1984 as "Against All Odds."
