Wagon trains headed to Oregon are attacked by a gang sent by a syndicate that wants to keep its fur trade intact, which means they don't want settlers. Over the 15 episodes, Jeff captures the gang leader only to have him repeatedly escape before Jeff can find out who's behind the scheme. But Jeff finally comes through.
