The plant sings for its supper. The problem is that Audrey II requires human flesh to live. Seymour uses Audrey's boyfriend Dr. Orin Scrivello (Steve Martin) as the source of food for Audrey II. After Orin dies, Seymour realizes the dangers wrought by Audrey II, and he and Audrey try to defeat Audrey II before it takes over the world. This film has good music, enough humor to please almost anyone, and is a good remake of the 1960 classic.

Despondent, he goes into a bar and tells his problems to the bartender (Michael Caine), who mixes a potion, and Larry walks out into the world that he would have experienced had he made that hit. He finds that all is not perfect in that world, either.

Just like in "The Prince and the Pauper," this movie goes with the premise of a rich man, Louis Winthorpe III (Dan Aykroyd)–this time, a Philadelphia commodity broker–changing places with a poor man, Billy Ray Valentine (Eddie Murphy), who is a con-artist. The Duke brothers–Randolph and Mortimer (Ralph Bellamy and Don Ameche) make a bet on whether or not Louis will resort to crime when he loses his position in life. Throw in lots of good comedy, and you have a film worth watching.

An ordinary beagle (voice of Jason Lee) gets a dose of mad scientist Simon Barsinister's (Peter Dinklage) potion, escapes the lab, and then is taken in by widower Don Unger (James Belushi) and his depressed son Jack (Alex Neuberger) who name him Shoeshine because he likes to lick shoes. Shoeshine adjusts happily to his new home, but Barsinister's potion has turned him into a dog with super powers. When Dan encourages him to use those powers for a worthy cause, Shoeshine dons a suit and cape and turns into Underdog vowing to protect the citizens of Capitol City–including, of course, that particular spaniel Polly Purebread (voice of Amy Adams). This forces Samson and his animal friends to form a rescue party. Their mission is to find Samson, but, once in Africa, they head right into the midst of wildebeast leader Kazar (voice of William Shatner) who has plans to move the wildebeasts to the top of the food chain.
