  Reformed gunfighter Jess Wade (Elvis Presley) is falsely accused of stealing a jewel-encrusted cannon–the legendary Victory Gun–used during Mexico's fight for freedom. Jess seeks safety in Rio Seco, and, when his former band of outlaws who actually stole the cannon, prepares to terrorize the town, Jess arms the townsfolk so that they are prepared for an attack. Fighting ensues, and Jess helps save the town.
