In this animated adventure, Chicago Cubs pitcher Lefty Maginnis (voice of William H. Macy) obeys instructions from his club's owner (voice of Robert Wagner) to steal Babe Ruth's (voice of Brian Dennehy) pet bat, Darlin' (voice of Whoopi Goldberg). The stadium caretaker's son, Yankee Irving–a.k.a. "Everyone's Hero"–(voice of Jake T. Austin) spots Lefty stealing the bat and sets off with a talking baseball, Screwie (voice of Rob Reiner), on a thousand-mile trek to regain the bat and bring it back to Babe Ruth in time for the 1932 World Series.

When orphaned Andi (Emma Roberts) and her brother Bruce (Jake T. Austin) move into the home of their new foster parents (Kevin Dillon and Lisa Kudrow), they must give up their dog, Friday. They know that they cannot live without Friday and place Friday in an abandoned hotel that they turn into a shelter for stray animals. This works for awhile–until their caseworker Bernie (Don Cheadle) finds another home for Andi and Bruce. Their trespassing is discovered, and the dogs are impounded. But even this does not stop Andi and Bruce, and they find a way to rescue their beloved animals.

In this sequel to "Johnny Tsunami," Brandon Baker is back in his role of a Vermont snowboarding champion. This time, Johnny returns to Hawaii to attend his grandfather's wedding.
