The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys   2002     3 stars    R, 105 min.
Genre: Comedy
Director: Peter Care
Cast: Kieran Culkin, Jena Malone, Emile Hirsch, Jodie Foster, Vincent D'Onofrio, Jake Richardson, Tyler Long, Melissa Suzanne McBride, Dylan Scott, Michele Seidman

It isn't enough that eighth-grader Francis Doyle (Emile Hirsch) and his best friend, Tim (Kieran Culkin), draw obscene comic books. Why not kidnap a cougar from the game preserve and set it loose in their teacher's (Jodie Foster) office? A very good coming-of-age comedy/drama set in the South during 1974.

I really liked this movie because it taught so many great lessons, and at the same time, it kept the interest of myself and the children. Every time we do a slumber party, the kids pull out Hangman's Curse on DVD. This movie was so entertaining, and we learn more each time we watch it. I was very well made. We love this movie and we would love to see more from him.

this was a great book and movie, a must see. I wish they would do more movies out of his books. Frank is very talented and uses his god given gifts to reach all people. It doesnt matter if he is slower writing than most authers. It is the quality not the quantity that really counts.

Problem Child 3   1995     bomb    TV, 95 min.
Genre: Family / Comedy / Fantasy
Director: Greg Beeman
Cast: William Katt, Justin Chapman, Gilbert Gottfried, Jack Warden, Sherman Howard, Carolyn Lowery, Eric Edwards, Blake McIver Ewing, Jennifer Ogletree, Brock Pierce, Jake Richardson, Ellen Albertini Dow, Jacqueline Obradors

OK, the first two in the series were BOMBs, and now TV execs decided to make a third. This one is flirting with making the "Bottom 10" list. New principals play Ben and Junior (William Katt and Justin Chapman), with Jack Warden a holdover as Big Ben. Junior falls in love with a classmate, and that means others who desire her are in for big trouble, as are all others who get in Junior's way.
