They hook up with Mafia lord Lerob "Hollywood Nicky" Barnes (Sean "P.Diddy" Combs) and are on their way. But problems lie ahead with Carlito's girlfriend Leticia (Jaclyn DeSantis), Earl's family, and the Mafia.

After fellow police officer Morgan (Danny Aiello) kills a street kid, Murphy and the other officers are told to ignore the brutal act. Murphy cannot abide by the directive and, as a result, becomes an outcast on the police force. This story is based on true experiences.

To make their house a home and protect the property, Joe joins forces with the other tenants who elect him president of the "co-op." Joe is asked to evict long-time squatter Carlos DeJesus (Paul Calderon) who has lived in the building longer than anyone else. But, Joe's attempts at mediation meet with little success.

Marty does begin to suspect Valarie but is torn between his love for her and the law.
