The marriage is failing, and Oliver becomes romantically interested in coworker Alice Moore (Jane Randolph). Now, a jealous Irena's stalking of Alice turns into a night of terror in a swimming pool.

Now, Waldo and his inept assistant Felix Gillie (Peter Lorre) start sneaking into homes at night and killing people. The plan works–but when they try, again and again, to poison Waldo's father-in-law, he just will not stay dead.

Eventually, he promises to go straight and settles down with his wife (Gene Tierney). Great scenery (including Tierney) makes this watchable.
