When Tumak is exiled, he is taken in by the civilized Shell Tribe where he meets and falls in love with Loana (Carole Landis). After a fight, Tumak is exiled, and Loana joins him on the trek back to the Rock Tribe's cave where she teaches them civilization. When a volcano erupts, the two tribes join in a fight for survival. Remade as "One Million Years B.C." in 1966.
