The cast includes temperamental Alphonse (Jean-Pierre Leaud), emotionally unstable Julie (Jacqueline Bisset), closet homosexual Alexandre (Jean-Pierre Aumont), alcoholic Severine (Valentina Cortese), and pregnant Stacey (Alexandra Stewart)–all of whose problems affect Ferrand's effort to keep the filming on track.
