This is an excellent production of Mark Twain's story set in Missouri during the 1850s with Tommy Kelly in the title role and May Robson as Aunt Polly. When Aunt Polly punishes Tom for skipping school and tells him to paint a fence, he uses his wiles to get other kids to do the job. The adventures also include Tom's romance with Becky Thatcher (Ann Gillis), Tom and Huckleberry Finn's (Jackie Moran) raft trip on the Mississippi River, and Tom's experiences after witnessing Injun Joe's (Victor Jory) crimes.
