  When golden retriever Bailey (voice of Jon Lovitz) inherits the entire billion-dollar estate of his owner, Constance Pennington (Jackie Burroughs), two family members–nephew Caspar (Tim Curry) and his wife Dolores (Jennifer Tilly)–set out to prove that Bailey's guardian, Ted (Dean Cain), is abusing Bailey. With this "proof," maybe Caspar and Dolores will be able to get their hands on the fortune.

His physician, Dr. Sam Weizak (Herbert Lom), believes that Johnny has not only the ability to predict the future but to change it as well. When Johnny shakes the hand of political candidate Greg Stillson (Martin Sheen), Johnny's ability is tested when he sees Stillson as a future President of the United States in the middle of a nuclear holocaust.
