This is a colorful adventure film that tells the story of how 300 Spartans, led by King Leodinas (Richard Egan), held off thousands of invading Persian soldiers at the mountain pass while the remainder of Greece's leadership debated whether or not to send soldiers.

But, Paul needs more radium to complete his experiment and, with the help of his girlfriend Laura (Marguerite Chapman), busts Joey Faust (Douglas Kennedy) out of jail to steal the necessary radium after being made invisible. But Joey has other plans upon becoming invisible. A real "cheapie," but it's fun to watch.

Shields wants them to work on a new project, but all three have had bad experiences in the past with Shields that will make them think twice about signing with him. The film won five Academy Awards, including Best Supporting Actress (Gloria Grahame for her role as Rosemary Bartlow), and Kirk Douglas received an Oscar nomination for Best Actor.

On the trek, they encounter floods, winds, and treacherous areas of heat and cold–along with prehistoric beasts and Count Saknussemm (Thayer David) who killed Carla's husband and has been striving to be the first person to reach the center of Earth. Special effects are what earn this film its three stars.

They travel to New England and learn that Ananka's soul has been taken over by an exchange student, Amina Mansouri (also played by Ames), who is studying with Egyptologist Norman (Frank Reicher) and has a boyfriend Tommy (Robert Lowery). Kharis stalks Amina, and when he learns that Yousef Bey is in love with his princess, he kills him. Now, with his reincarnated princess in his arms, the Mummy sinks into a bog and disappears. Followed by "The Mummy's Curse."
