Dave Kovic (Kevin Kline), who looks exactly like U.S. President Bill Mitchell (also played by Kline), runs an employment agency specializing in temp. work. The President's Chief-of-Staff Bob Alexander (Frank Langella) asks Dave to stand in for the President at a luncheon, and Dave agrees. While Dave is attending the luncheon, the President suffers a stroke when he is having sex with his mistress. In order to keep the indiscretion a secret, Dave agrees to continue his impersonation of the President. It doesn't take long for Dave to learn how to run the government and promote changes he feels will improve the country. And, in the process, he also falls in love with the President's wife Ellen (Sigourney Weaver). 1 User Review

Although mother and son have assumed different identities, Kimble is banking on the fact that getting close to the situation will lead him to Crisp. Phoebe has teaching credentials and plans to teach in the Astoria kindergarten class, but she gets food poisoning, and Kimble ends up going undercover as the kindergarten teacher.
