This film splices together TV episodes of the story of Davy Crockett (Fess Parker) and his sidekick George Russell (Buddy Ebsen) when they encounter keel-boater Mike Fink (Jeff York). Mike challenges Davy and George to a river race to New Orleans, during which they deal not only with the dangerous rapids but with the River Pirates as well. Following the race, Davy and Mike join forces to try to prevent an Indian war. Enjoy the ride!
