As the train moves on, hopefully they will also forget differences of the past. But more discords arise on the journey to find spiritual enlightenment as they attempt self-medication on pain killers, pepper spray, and cough syrup. They get kicked off the train in the middle of the desert but continue on the trek for a surprise visit with their mother (Anjelica Huston) who has abandoned her family and now is a sister in a Himalayan convent.

The next day, Jamal appears on the show to answer the final question, and the world–including the Police Inspector–watches expectantly.
