Rose (Irene Miracle) buys a book from an antique dealer and, while reading it, learns about a supernatural force in her New York apartment building. Written by architect E. Rose writes to her brother Mark (Leigh McCloskey) in Rome, but, before he can respond, Rose is killed. Mark comes to New York to investigate his sister's murder and, in the process, discovers secret passages within the apartment building and then uncovers the shocking truth about The Three Mothers.

In another adaptation of Dean R Koontz's book, Paul Ferguson (Marc Singer) escapes with a laboratory dog, and the duo are pursued by an evil monster from the experimental lab. The monster has been trained to kill those who become associated with the dog and begins killing all those who come into contact with Paul and the dog. Paul is blamed, but then he joins forces with Barbara White (Tracy Scoggins) who had trained the dog, and, working together, they defend themselves against the monster.
