James Cagney as Bottom and the music of Mendelssohn are especially good. This was the film debut of Olivia de Havilland in her role as Hermia. Mohr's Oscar was the only write-in ever. An Oscar was also awarded for Best Film Editing, and a nomination was received for Best Picture.
