Despite Warrant Officer Ripley's (Sigourney Weaver) objections, Kane reenters the spaceship. Soon after, an offspring of the alien erupts from Kane's stomach and runs off. Dallas leads his group in a search for what they now see as an alien killing machine. Incredibly scary film (not for kids) that was justifiably awarded the Best Visual Effects Oscar in 1979.

It tells the story of Paul Baumer (Richard Thomas) and his German classmates who are urged by their patriotic teacher Kantorek (Donald Pleasence) to enlist in the army during World War I. They do enlist, are trained by Corporal Himmelstoss (Ian Holm) and then head for the battlefield where they serve under Stanislaus Katczinsky (Ernest Borgnine). Many of Paul's friends are killed in battle, and after Paul stabs and kills a French soldier, he is convinced that fighting a war is not the patriotic game he believed it was. The film received seven Emmy nominations, including Best Supporting Actor and Actress (Borgnine and Patricia Neal for her role as Paul's mother).

The film won five Academy Awards, including Best Supporting Actress (Cate Blanchett); six other nominations were received, including Best Picture, Actor (DiCaprio), Director, and Supporting Actor (Alan Alda).

This is one of the better productions of Shakespeare's tragedy.

Now, Gusteau's is becoming a very popular restaurant once again–despite Skinner (Ian Holm) the greedy manager of Gusteau's who has his own faulty ideas of how to run a restaurant The film received an Oscar for Best Animated Feature and received four other Academy Award nominations.

The next day, the stranger comes to Jean's house, and during a visit with her he puts a gun in his mouth and kills himself. The resulting investigation of who he was and what was meant by the events makes for good mystery and drama. As the party of the prior evening is again shown, the viewer sees the dinner in a completely different way.
