English gentleman Paul Baxter (William Sylvester) heads to Brittany for a little rest and relaxation. The cult requires human sacrifices, and after two tourists are killed and another woman, Karin (Tracy Reed), is kidnapped by the cult, Baxter takes matters into his own hands. He exposes the monster Arman and frees Karin. Then, Arman wanders through a cemetery and trips on a cross that kills him.

The fact that Rynn also gets very nervous when the subject of her basement is discussed adds to the chilling mystery. Nosy neighbor Mrs. Hallet (Alexis Smith) ends up being knocked down the basement stairs when she looks for evidence of Rynn's father being at home. Meanwhile, Mrs. Hallet's pedophile son Frank (Martin Sheen) is also curious and presses Rynn for answers–all of which leads to a nasty confrontation with Rynn's boyfriend Mario (Scott Jacoby).

This sets off a series of events as the earrings are again bought and resold, revealing depth in the characters of the general and his wife. Good acting and directing.
