Ellen and Bud begin a romantic relationship, but when Ellen investigates circumstances behind Dorothy's death, Bud zeroes in on Ellen as his next victim. This film was remade in 1991.

They capture the Union soldiers, but the Indians launch their own attack, and Barstow allows the Union soldiers and Johanna to escape the Indian massacre.
