After being snubbed by Mark (Colin Firth), Bridget begins writing in her diary about trying to cut back on wine, cigarettes, and men. She begins getting sexy e-mails from her boss Daniel (Hugh Grant) and meets him for dinner. Daniel tells her that he and Mark went to college together, and Mark seduced his fiancee. Later, Bridget runs across Mark again, he expresses an interest in her, and now both men compete for Bridget's attention.   Based on Walter Lord's book, this is an excellent recreation of the sinking of the Titanic in 1912. The account was previously filmed five years earlier as "Titanic." While both films are good, this one is considered better with its attention to details of the disaster, using about 200 actors. Then, there is the 1997 Academy Award winner, which is great but not as historically accurate.
