After being raised by his womanizing father Professor Turner (Alec Baldwin), Tank (Dane Cook) has a different method of dealing with women. He sets up dates and then gives them such a terrifying evening that they run back to their ex-boyfriends. Dustin (Jason Biggs) is Tank's roommate, and he needs help with his relationship with Alexis (Kate Hudson) who "just wants to be friends." Dustin asks for Tank's help, and Tank offers to come to the rescue. But, on their date, Alexis calls Tank's bluff, and now Tank finds himself falling in love with his "Best Friend's Girl."
