While Tahiti was a paradise, life on the Bounty proves anything but, and the overly strict discipline of Bligh becomes so intense that First Mate Fletcher Christian leads the crew in a mutiny and sends Bligh and a few crew members adrift at sea in an open boat. The film received an Academy Award for Best Picture. It also was nominated for seven others–including three for Best Actor (Laughton, Gable, and Tone) and Best Director (Frank Lloyd).

Now, Oliver, under the watchful eye of his tutor, the cruel Fagin (Alec Guinness) becomes a pickpocket on London's streets where more problems follow–until good luck finally shines on Oliver.

Meanwhile, Edward lives with Tom's father (Barton MacLane) until he is befriended by a soldier of fortune, Miles Hendon (Errol Flynn), who takes him to the palace where he proves his real identity in time to be crowned King of England. A great musical score backs up this film version of Mark Twain's story.
