Jackson) and Vincent Vega (John Travolta) to retrieve a briefcase, and, later, Vincent takes the boss's wife (Uma Thurman) out on the town. Then there is prizefighter Butch Coolidge (Bruce Willis) who Marcellus has told to throw a fight. These stories and more overlap into one great tale dealing with unsavory characters who quickly become very real to the viewer. "Pulp Fiction" is certainly a movie that will not disappoint, and the pace never lets up. In addition to receiving the Oscar for Best Writing, the film received six other nominations, including Best Picture, Actor (Travolta), Supporting Actor (Jackson), Supporting Actress (Thurman), and Director.
