Genre: Adventure
Director: Harvey Hart
Cast: Karl Malden, Jonathan Kahn, Ricardo Montalban, Fritz Weaver, Fred Gwynne, Shay Duffin, Johnny Doran

Karl Malden is good as the fisherman in this remake of the 1937 classic Kipling story. Otherwise, this made-for-TV film is average fare about the spoiled rich boy, rescued by a fishing ship, who grows up through hard word.

Surprise endingSmokey 04/06/2009
I didn't really want to go see this movie in 1976. But the surprise ending has stuck with me all these years and after all these years it is still one of my favorites. Cliff Robertson was great in it too!
